Frehiwot Amare

Frehiwot Amare, age 27, lives in Addis Ababa at a place called Talian sefer. She is a mother of two girls, Redeat, 5 years old, and Yabsira, 7 months old, and one boy, Natnael, 9 years old, who and is in grade 2 at school. Read more >>>

Chernet Teferra

Chernet Teferra joined the Ethiopian airforce as a driver in 1985. He was transferred to Eritrea, then one of the administrative regions of Ethiopia. Like any other employees of the Ethiopian airforce, he lived in a military camp. He met his wife Asmeret Hussen while she was working at a canteen in the camp. They got married and had one child. Ali Kelil

Ato Ali is an elderly person in his fifties, with a family of nine. He came to Addis when he was young to live with his sister. He started school but did not go further so he learned some skills in woodwork. Read more >>>

Yirgedu Worku

Yirgedu Worku is 38 years old and lives in Ad’aa Wereda at a place called Sirba. Yirgedu came to this place in 1985 when famine affected most of the northern regions of Ethiopia. The government forced young people to move and resettle in the south and southwest of Ethiopia. Yirgedu who was 20 years old was brought from Gojam to Sirba along with her two brothers.
