Map and regions
Contrasting regions selected for the Young Lives project
The five provinces included
in the study offer examples of different geographical regions, level
of development, and population characteristics across Vietnam. The
poverty levels are based on the international figures produced by
the Government Statistic Office and the World Bank. The Human Development
Index ranks the 61 provinces in the country based on the series
of human development indicators. All figures are based on 1998-2000
data.

where Young Lives children and their familes live.
Young Lives developed a general multi-stage sampling approach which was adapted to the national context in each country. A summary of the country team's approach is available in the preliminary country report.
