YOUNG LIVES: Communications and Publications Assistant (Ref: VG-09-020)
Salary: Grade 4 £19,645 - £22,765 p.a.
Young Lives is a DFID-funded project following the lives of 12,000 children in 4 countries (Ethiopia, India, Peru and Vietnam) over 15 years. We want to learn about the conditions they face as they grow up and use this to influence key debates and policy development with a view to improving children’s lives in developing countries. Young Lives is at an exciting time and we are currently developing key messages and narratives and a host of new outputs to reflect our research findings and policy messages. We are recruiting a Communications and Publications Assistant to work with researchers and policy staff in Oxford and the 4 study countries to ensure the smooth delivery of this ambitious programme of work.
Applicants' qualifications should include strong all-round communications skills with excellent writing, editing, proofreading, strong interpersonal skills, and an interest in international development or child-focused research.
This post runs until 31 December 2013 and both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered (minimum 3 days per week) – see job description for further details.
