Winners Announced in Peru
The Young Lives project in Peru launched an annual journalism competition in 2002 with the aim of highlighting coverage of childhood issues in the national media. Print, radio and television journalists were invited to submit examples of their work that explored the relationship between childhood poverty and one of the following themes: education, health, child labour, disability or violence.
Maria Irina Mauricio Trellis won with her article Against Sexual Liberty, which looks at new measures to deal more effectively with the sexual abuse of pupils by teachers. Read the winning article.
