Vietnamese youth on poverty and development. August 2006
Young Lives papers released in relation to August 12th, International Youth Day
The theme for International Youth Day 2006 was ‘tackling poverty together.’ As a contribution to International Youth Day Young Lives highlighted the views of Vietnamese youth on issues of poverty and development, as voiced in grassroots consultations led by the Young Lives Vietnam team. These consultations sought to foster a culture of children’s and young people’s participation in national development processes, particularly in relation to Vietnam’s five-year development plan.
