Annina joined the Young Lives Team as a Quantitative Research Assistant in 2020. She is a development economist, who specialises in microeconomics and applied microeconometrics. She holds a MSc in Development Economics from the University of Göttingen and a BSc in Economics from Heidelberg University.
During her studies Annina worked as a research assistant on a number of projects in Germany, South-America and Sub-Saharan Africa, most recently as a visiting student researcher at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Centre in Kenya. Annina’s main research interests relate to agricultural and health economics as well as studying poverty and (gender) inequality to inform evidence-based policy making in low-income countries.
