Nguyen Thi Thu Hang
Hang is Policy Coordinator for Vietnam. She leads Young Lives' policy work and engagement with policymakers and government bodies, both at central and sub-national levels, and at National Assembly. Hang has been a researcher at the Centre for Analysis and Forecasting (CAF), within the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) since CAF was first established in 2005. She has expertise and strong policy engagement experience, especially in trade liberalisation, poverty and governance. During 2008–9 she coordinated the Knowledge to Policy project which aimed to improve communication skills for researchers and promoted the use of research by the National Assembly. Hang has also been working on a number of studies on research-to-policy linkages and is developing an Evidence-based Policy in Development Network (EBPDN) in South East Asia, covering Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos and Vietnam. Hang holds an MSc in Development Economics from SOAS, University of London, UK.
Her research intersts are in international trade, governance, global production network, poverty and labour.
