Young Lives evidence featured in Oxford University Brain and Mental Health Campaign

In 2023 Oxford University's Brain and Mental Health Campaign is highlighting how some of the best minds at one of the world's leading universities are building on centuries of knowledge, and shaping the future of brain and mental health. This includes exploring the impacts of mental health issues on the individual, and examining population-wide global health problems.  

In this article, War, radicalisation and refugees, the Campaign features Young Lives evidence on the impact of multiple crises, including conflict and Covid-19 on the well-being and mental health of young people in low - and middle - income countries.  Exploring neurological and mental health through the lens of war and displacement, the article features Young Lives evidence on the impact of the conflict in Ethiopia on young people's mental health and recommendations from our recent Policy Brief  Policy Brief Young Lives Under Pressure: Protecting and Promoting Young People’s Mental Health at a Time of Global Crises’ 

The article also signals upcoming research in Young Lives' Round 7 where we will collect further data and insights on mental health.
