The Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA) is one of the key items on the agenda at COP30, where governments are expected to adopt a set of indicators that —for the first time—will measure global progress towards strengthening resilience to climate change.
This brief—a collaboration between UNICEF, Save the Children, Young Lives, UNFPA and YOUNGO—provides three sets of specific recommendations for governments to secure a Successful and Meaningful Outcome for Children at COP30:

(2) adopt an ambitious, balanced and complete list of indicators; and
(3) provide guidance on next steps for the effective operationalisation of the indicators.
