Global research has highlighted the pandemic’s deleterious effect on the mental health of young people, yet few longitudinal studies focus on anxiety levels in low-resource settings. The Young Lives longitudinal study (2002–2021) captured anxiety levels amongst young people aged 26 in Southern India during different phases of the pandemic. The article examines the prevalence of anxiety (measured by GAD-7) and associated factors (individual and household factors) using a multivariate logistic regression.
