This brief report provides a first look into the data collected during the first of three calls in Young Lives at Work's Phone Survey in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and highlights some of the key emerging findings.

The Young Lives Phone Survey aims to investigate the short and medium term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the health, well-being, transition to the labour market and education trajectories of young people in our study, tracked since 2001 and now aged 18 and 25.

Predictors of school dropout across Ethiopia, India, Peru and Vietnam

Published in GRADE in 2020. In this research paper the authors use the five rounds of Young Lives household surveys in four countries (Ethiopia, India, Peru, and Vietnam) to study the characteristics of children who dropped out of school at 22 years of age.

There is also a policy brief (in Spanish) focusing on Peru.

This policy brief highlights findings from the Young Marriage and Parenthood Study (YMAPS), a qualitative study carried out by Child Frontiers between 2018 and 2020 with young married, cohabiting, and divorced adolescents and young people in three communities in the Kalulushi, Mazabuka and Katete districts of Zambia. Almost all of the young people were born and raised in contexts of poverty.
