
Juliana worked in the Young Lives team as a Quantitative Research Assistant from January 2024 to August 2025. She holds an undergraduate and master's degree in economics from the University of Los Andes. She also completed studies in public policy. For her master's thesis she studied the relationship between gender and perceptions of migration in Latin America.
Before joining the Young Lives team, Juliana worked as a Research Assistant for the Inter-American Development Bank. Her work focused on the causes and consequences of migration in El Salvador, as well as the preferences for redistribution in Latin America. Her research interests include migration, poverty and inequality in developing countries.
