Biography

Dr Mobarak Hossain is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

His research interests include educational inequalities and social mobility, comparative education policies and institutions, and cross-border policy diffusion, with a particular focus on emerging and developing economies.

Before joining the LSE, he was a Postdoctoral Prize Research Fellow at Nuffield College, University of Oxford, where he also obtained his DPhil (PhD). He also currently serves as an Associate Editor for European Societies and as an editorial board member of the British Journal of Sociology of Education.
