On 29 January 2026 at an event in Addis Ababa, Young Lives Ethiopia launched the report Experiences of Young Lives During Crises in Ethiopia, outlining initial findings from their sixth wave of qualitative research .
The launch brought together senior government officials, development partners and researchers to engage with in-depth qualitative evidence on how overlapping crises are shaping young people’s transitions to adulthood. Presentations covered gender and health, disability, mental health and well-being, education, work, and migration.
Following the presentations, attendees were invited to take part in various workshops which, alongside the findings, provided important insights for policy design, programming and research focused on inclusive and resilient youth development in Ethiopia.
